You wake up without an alarm. You're not groggy.
You don't crave tea/coffee. You pick up your glucometer - the one you've been using for 3 years to watch the number that's been climbing.
And for the first time in a decade, the number is lower than it was yesterday, which was lower than the day before. Your fasting glucose reads in the 90s. Not the 130s. Not the 140s.
You walk to the bathroom mirror. Your face is less puffy. Your eyes are clearer.
Your waistband is looser and your body is finally using the fuel instead of storing it.
Your wife looks at you differently at breakfast. Your kids notice you have energy to argue with them.
At 3 PM, when the old crash used to hit, nothing happens. You just keep working.
You think about your family. And you smile.
And then you open your phone, look at your Day 1 labs next to your Day 42 labs, and you realize - you are becoming the man you were supposed to be.
This is what Day 43 feels like…
